The history...
A Step Ahead 2 was opened in August 1999 by Art Director, and owner, Georgia. Prior to this Georgia had been based in Bridport in Dorset, where along with a fellow stylist she opened a salon, A Step Ahead. The salon soon became a huge success and was very busy. 1998 found Georgia leaving the salon and relocating to Wallingford. After a short time working for a salon in Henley, Georgia was ready to open her own salon again and A Step Ahead 2 was born.

Why does a client visit the salon?
The obvious reason is to have their hair improved. But it can also emotionally uplift a person. To feel better they need to look better that’s our role at A Step Ahead. We are consistently focused on improving our client’s appearance. We listen to what the client wants, needs before we start the work. Hair is a very important part of a woman’s life and in our training we emphasis how important it is to understand and develop the elements of positive, effective communication. After all our clients are giving us the responsibility to look after their hair.
